The "Sport Fishing Education Center" is a
new way to explore the marine waters for people of all ages. The "Sport
Fishing Education Center" is managed by the Sport Fishing Alliance LTD,
(501C3) charitable organization, dedicated to marine education through sport
fishing.
Several groups, with a marine conservation interest, are
affiliated with the Center, and they are working together to coordinate
programs that promote saltwater recreational fishing while teaching proper
angling ethics. ALSO Cornell Cooperative ExtensionMarine Program helped
to create and administer a marine education curriculum for school groups that
visit the center. This curriculum covers many of the standards that have been
established by New York State Department of Education.
